These operating systems come with free software; which you can run, study, improve and distribute for any purpose.

You can freely download the operating systems listed below, and install them on your computer.

For Beginners...

If you are new to GNU/Linux, we recommend you to try Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

You can run Ubuntu without installing: simply create a bootable USB stick using a tool like Rufus, then restart your computer and boot from the USB drive.

Repository Setup

To use the Debian 12 (Bookworm) package repository, you must add the following lines to the top of your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

deb https://wee.cankaya.edu.tr/repo/debian/ bookworm main contrib non-free
deb https://wee.cankaya.edu.tr/repo/debian/ bookworm-updates main contrib non-free
deb https://wee.cankaya.edu.tr/repo/debian-security/ bookworm-security main contrib non-free

To use the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS package repository, you must create a new /etc/apt/sources.list.d/00-wee.sources file and add the following lines in it:

Types: deb
URIs: https://wee.cankaya.edu.tr/repo/ubuntu/ubuntu
Suites: noble noble-security noble-updates noble-backports
Components: main restricted universe multiverse
Architectures: amd64
Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg
